1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits. Alongside them, there are other local storage technologies that serve a similar purpose.
2. What this site uses
The public website at siegasolutions.com does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not set third-party cookies. That is why you will not see a cookie notice when you arrive: only necessary technical elements, or preferences that do not identify anyone, are used.
- Private area session cookie (
siega_staff): only created when the owner logs in to/staff. It is a technical cookie, necessary to keep the session open, not accessible to scripts, and it expires after eight hours or when the owner logs out. Visitors to the public website do not receive it. - Motion preference (
siega-motion): if you press the button on the home page that pauses the animations, the browser saves that choice in its local storage so it is respected on your next visit. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to the server and it contains no personal data. - Cookie-free statistics: the server keeps aggregate counts of the pages visited and of clicks on WhatsApp, phone and email, together with the source of the visit. So that this source is not lost when you move from one page to another, the website adds it to the address of internal links. Nothing is stored in your browser and no identifier is used.
3. Linked third-party services
Links to WhatsApp and Stripe's payment pages take you to third-party sites that apply their own cookie and privacy policies when you use them. This site does not load their scripts on the public website.
4. If analytics are added in the future
If I add analytics tools or advertising pixels, I will first show a notice that lets you accept or reject them, and they will not be activated without your prior consent. This page will be updated with the details of each cookie, its purpose and its duration.
5. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Bear in mind that blocking the session cookie prevents use of the private area, although it does not affect browsing the public website.
